Malta bucks the trend in
tourism from the UK
The feeble British pound is
increasingly making British tourists seek non-euro zone countries for their
holiday, but Malta is going against the trend, reporting a surge in arrivals
from the UK in May and an improvement in June as well, according to preliminary
figures.

The Leisure Centre
The leisure centre has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Gym and sauna. We inform you that when using the indoor pool it is obligatory to wear a bathing cap, these may be purchased at the Leisure Centre.
People under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all the times. It is open from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 20:00, daily except Saturday.
General Information
If you can bring yourselves to leave the resort, you are ideally placed to visit nearby Fuengirola and Marbella, or head to the City of Malaga, birthplace of Piccasso, or stunning Ronda, perched on a gorge, which boasts the oldest bullring in Spain.
Gibraltar is only an hour's drive away, and, in the other direction, the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada offer winter skiing. Reception can organize car hire for you, or book you onto an organized excursion.
Golf

Las Palmeras Pool Bar and Restaurant
Every resort needs a focus point, and at Grangefield Oasis Club everyone is naturally drawn to the pool area, where you can swim and sunbathe at either of the two pretty pools set within lush, flowering gardens.
Las Palmeras, pool bar /restaurant, with its exotic thatched roofing is open from morning to night throughout the spring and summer months serving breakfast, lunches, snacks and evening meals as well as drinks ranging from soft drinks and beer to exotic cocktails. Las Palmeras offers a takeaway service as well.
There is also an outdoor stage so you can enjoy live entertainment during those long summers evenings for most of the year. There are themed evenings such as barbecue night and flamenco night. Guests can also enjoy an organized programme of activities for both children and adults, with the emphasis firmly on fun for all age groups.
La Hacienda Restaurant
The restaurant has been redesigned and redecorated, and has a Spanish ambience and a Spanish/international menu. La Hacienda offers a breakfast and dinner buffet menu. The bar has a typically Spanish name, La Bodega, and serves drinks during opening hours.
