Malta bucks the trend in
tourism from the UK
The feeble British pound is
increasingly making British tourists seek non-euro zone countries for their
holiday, but Malta is going against the trend, reporting a surge in arrivals
from the UK in May and an improvement in June as well, according to preliminary
figures.
This property is situated in a private residential area of San Fernando, in Gran Canaria. The house, from the outside is very deceptive but once through the wider than average hard wood front door, via the entrance hall, you will discover room after room. Built in the Spanish style, the house is built around a central courtyard, which gives access to most of the rooms and to the spacious roof terrace.
Reception area: measures 12m2 and has a phone, office desk, air conditioning unit and a window looking out onto the courtyard.
Living room 1: Measures 36.5m2 comes with basic furnishings. Throughout the property the walls and ceilings are painted white and the floors are cream ceramic tiles with flecks of black.
Living room 2: Measures 7.3m2 and is currently being used a hairdressing salon. It is fitted with two vanity units on one wall with illuminated mirrors over each with a chair for each unit. There are also two tall cupboards on either side of the vanity units for storage. This room could be used as a second living room or made into another bedroom.
Kitchen: Measures 16.5m2 with granite work surfaces around most of three walls with plenty of storage space under them. One wall is almost entirely open to the corridor. The kitchen is equipped with a large fridge freezer, gas hot water heater and double stainless steel sink with mixer taps. This room is large enough include a dining area. The walls are fully tiled from floor to ceiling and are white with a light brown pattern.
Bedroom 1: Measures 26.8m2 and has a single bed and chest of drawers in it at the moment but it will accommodate a double bed. The walls are again painted white and the floor tiles match the rest of the house.
Bedroom 2: Measures 12m2 and at moment only has a double wardrobe, in a teak finish with a central mirror in it. This could be a second double bedroom if required.
Bedroom 3: Measures 10.4 m2 has a single bed with wooden headboard, a tallboy and a three draw bedside cabinet in dark wood. The decor is the same as the other bedrooms.
Bedroom 4: Measures 7.8m2 and has a double bed, double fitted wardrobe, large three drawer chest and a large mirror fixed to the wall.
Bathroom 1: Measures 3.4m2 and is decorated from floor to ceiling in orange/brown tiles. It is fitted with a white suite, comprising, bath with shower over, low level W.C, bidet and a pedestal wash basin with an illuminated mirror and shelf over it.
Bathroom 2: decorated the same as above and comprises a white low level W.C. and a shower.
Internal courtyard: Measures 38m2 with an alcove containing the washing machine and staircase leading to the roof terrace. This pleasant area gets the sun most of the day and allows plenty of light to enter the rest of the house. It is an ideal area for all those barbeques that you will be having in the Gran Canarian sunshine.
Roof terrace: Measures 160m2 and is accessed via the courtyard. This is the place to really catch the sun or just to take in the mountain views that surround it. The stairway to the terrace has a lockable gate for extra security and for safety if you have small children. This area could also be built on to provide extra accommodation if required.
This property also has covered off road parking at the front and benefits from communal gardens and sports area. It is in a much sought after area and is close to a busy shopping area and good restaurants. This spacious property has lots of potential and would make an ideal family home.
